I heard this today and it resonated with me so much that I decided to share in a short post.
Life is like a game of chess. You make your move, somebody else makes theirs. Some pieces fall, others don’t. Everything is in constant motion. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Remember that life is beautiful and everybody experiences it differently, but at the end of the game, the king and the pawn go back into the same box.
Nice. Appreciate the share.
Short & sweet… simply puts life into prospective.
Wow – intriguing thought, love it!
Lovely sentiment – so simple and so true!
I couldn’t agree more!

Great post, one thing is for sure, I’m done with having to be the opponent in a game I no longer wish to play so, I quit, but ironically I don’t feel like I’ve lost. Moving on from the mental abuse leaves me free from all the chains that bound me to HIS game. Freedom is breathtakingly beautiful and I have no desire to ever go back to him, or anyone else for that matter. I’m going to cherish every day of freedom from now on. Su x
everything is in constant motion. I love that last part about everyone going back to the same box at the end. I think you just made me love chess even more!
Interesting concept except, But, I believe that life is so much more than just a game. We all have a purpose in life and we all should pursue that purpose with a few things in mind : We should always seek to Be a treasure, Earn a Treasure, Make a Treasure, Give a Treasure, Witness a Treasure, and Embrace a Treasure.ā Give something of yourself back to others

Very interesting thought!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you will continue to stop by and find other posts of interest. I decided to follow yours after reading this one. Thanks for a lovely thought. While life is important, it is mostly a game.
Yes life is a game and though meaningful, it does need a light approach. I like the implication at the end that no matter the outcome, we are all connected. Thanks for liking my post
I seem to be in disagreement with you tonight…LOL…I do not think we ever return to the “same box”…each meeting changes us in some dimension…the only thing that is constant is change…
Great insight! Thanks for sharing. I’ll agree it’s not the most inspiring of quotes.
Well, in Indian context, we believe human beings are recyclable energy. So yes, we do go back in the end to the same box, but deeds of this life will definitely influence the next life.
I’ve always found the idea of reincarnation fascinating. I spent a week in Veranasi for holi, and it was a very eye-opening experience.

As I looked around, this one caught my eye. This resonates with the subject of my blog site with perhaps one difference. I agree this earthly life goes back into the box, but I thinketh my soul doth not. Know what I mean? š Thanks for visiting my site.
